the missus got me a psp for crimbo, is it possible to downgrade to version 1.5 on a version2.8??

in a word no, as far as i'm aware theres no downgrader for 2.80 yet, the furthest they've got is 2.71 unfortunately. you'll have to sit tight

bollox. i had 2.7 when i got it but had 2 upgrade to 2.8 for mortal kombat

does it not make it possible to play ay game via memeroy card, rather than buying them?

Could i ask if it is a 2.8 or 2.81 as you can downgrade 2.8 but not 2.81

you can download the games and save them to your memory card, and play them from there.

u have to go to the far left menu and then down to system information and it will tell you there. andy he needs to downgrade before he can play them

This is a guide on how to do it it has worked on PSP'S but you should use it at your own risk really as with all downgrader's make sure u follow the instructions exactly otherwise u will brick it. Nothin else to say reeli good luck make sure you leave it connected to the power as you are doing it. I cannot stress enough read it through a couple of times before actually doing it and make sure u chek your mother board. Good Luck

gianluigi you need 2.71 to downgrade i can give you some software to make that work i used that on my psp
