Got caught by a red light cam last night (was a should i/shouldnt i thing, went for it and got done)
Am i going to get shafted on renewel quotes now?
Current details are
20 years old
2 years expereince
1 years no claim
no claim accident costing 400
Paying 700 a year on 94 cora b 1.4 8v sri
Was thinking of changing the car in january to a 1.6 or 1.8 focus which was coming out at 900 a year before this conviction. Will it affect the price much?

Yeh, but i find internet quotes to be inaccurate, quoted me over a grand on this policy, i phoned up, exactly the same details and was 300 quid less.
Plus i dont want to be phoning them up and letting them know ive got the conviction just in case on the off chance i get away with it (i wish!)

hehe, just make up a name then and use a different address on your street, i dont think they actualy save those details though. and if you do get away with it.. its not a conviction

No matter what people say it will increase your insurance...
I have 3 points for a TS10...it increased mine but not by a massive amount...

That won't work - read your small print. They all say the name and address on the insurance policy should match that on the V5 log book.

I got flashed by one a couple of month ago. never heard anything of it. just dont worry about it.
If it gets you accept the points and the fine, cant see it going up that much TBH
If you hear nothing of it.... DONT do it again lol

Don't go to flux they quoted me 850 for mine on the internet, I phoned up to confirm and they said they didn't know about my TS10 and put it upto 1350.
So I went to Norwich Union for 890.

My housemates sis works for Direct Line, and i got done for going thru a red light and she said it only adds about 30quid
