I have designed this page for a client, and they want to go ahead with it.

She has asked me to create the HTML coding for it, as she doesnt have time.

Its a pretty basic layout, so should i be able to use a template, and edit it in Dreamweaver?

Just use one from Dreamweaver, there should be some there to be honest, ok.... probably different colours, but you can sort that out.

Yes you can edit in dreamweaver.

Without sounding offensive, dave, if you're a web designer and marketting your services then why are you asking

If you did the design in photoshop, then open imageready by clicking the "image ready button" then just slice it up and "save optimised as.." and it'll do all the html for you.

Then open any html editor, front page, DW, etc. and tidy it up a bit, remove the text as an image and input the info she's given you.

Im not really a 'web designer' i am a 'designer' and she asked me to design the page for her, and she would do the HTML, but she hasnt got time to do it, so has asked me

I know how to slice things up etc, i have created pages before, but couldnt be arsed to start from scratch, and never used templates before.

And i will be downloading the proper images, just put those in because theres no point in paying for them if she doesnt like them

Just got Dreamweaver 8 so il take a look at that aswel.

lol, fair enough.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick here like normal, honestly, but what do you mean by template?

It take five mins to arrange the slices then click save optimised then it's done for you as a html doc ready to go live? You'd just need to input the correct text/images like you say.

shutterstock is good as it has everything really, we used to uses photos.com but it was shit. Were graphic designers though 95% of our work is print, only web stuff we do nowadays is banners n adverts etc, theres such a good feeling when u waste half a day doing no work as your "sourcing images" haha

Link 3

but im getting:

Link 1

Link 2

Link 3

to centre the whole lot, place the lot in a table that has the width and height to 100% then "center" the td/tr (row and col.)...as using "<center>" won't do it (i believe).

Not sure about double spacing, sounds like your using the paragraph tag, just use <BR> tag at the end of each link, will sort that out

btw, if you want it W3C valid (or what ever its called) then you need to start using xHTML (think thats what its called)....ie <BR> becomes <BR/> and crap like that. Absolute pointless if you ask me but a lot of people are asking for it, same as using divs - can be useful but cause a lot headaches between browsers
