interesting, was watching Road Wars last night on sky and they pulled a guy over because his wheels were pretruding out from his arches, i see alot of golfs etc with the euro look and their wheels come out much further. is this illegal then?

had a bit of bother with the g'friends mini wheels sticking out. needed bigger arches in the end

so long as they dont stick out further than the body they are fine. put old wheels on until new Cooper S arches were fitted then put the new wheels back on

iirc its only illegal if the tread sticks out from under the arches.

yes the tread cannot stick out, basically if you look down from the arch downwards if you can see tread then look out, beadles about

sure thats it, notice on dubs, they stretch the tyres over the rims so the tread is still actually under the arch, its the side wall and rim that stick out not the tread
