If you had a job interview and you were told the dress code is smart casual, what would you class as being smart casual

Ive got a shirt, tie and black trouser and boots ready but would that be too much or just right?

Cheers

I hate it when people say smart casual.

I think they want you to wear your trackie bottoms with a shirt and tie

Smart casual can range from tidy jeans and a shirt on a night out, to suit and good shoes but no tie for job related guff.

Shirt and trousers. I prefer wearing a tie this time of year as its warmer than open collar. Suit jacket if you fancy it.

Don't go crazy on the pattern, and if your only colour choices are mustard, purple and green then choose white.

Just don't wear jeans. To be honest, if you make a good impression it doesn't matter!
