Do you have any NCB?

The only way I could get that sort of price would be by going back as a named driver

Ah, I have no ncb, that'll be why

good price though, but remember that it's going to be AT LEAST 14 years old.

yer thats the only thing that and they will all be quite high milage. How do they stand up to it mechanically if i can get a good shell.

Also is there any preference between escorts and the fiestas? I like both but i think im been swayed by a fiesta

fiesta has a smaller turbo, but the same power.

a lot of fiesta owners convert to the turbo from the escort, as it gives the potential for more power.

escort will probably be less rusty than a fiesta, fiestas have problems by the fuel cap, a lot.

I'd go for an escort, but the newest would be 16 years old...

oh, and they're not overly reliable, being an old engine design.

Fiesta has Electronic Fuel Injection too, the Escort is Mechanical Fuel Injection, so the Fiesta engine management is better.

i think it will be one of those things that i want but cant realy justify. as i dont think my parents will apriciate me having two cars. As i dont think I would be able to have it as a daily driver

If it was standard ish (between 132 and 170bhp), and looked after, it'd be an ideal daily driver. It's the silly power ones which break.

i had a rst an didn't like it, it was a very clean one running bout 200bhp! they have all been nailed to death had about 10+ owners, i sold it an got a mk3 astra gsi turbo, luved it and was more reliable! for the money u have to pay to get a good rst i'd rather buy a astra gsi let!

windows.

handle pretty much the same as any other 80s escort or 90s fiesta, ok, but not anything to write home about.

the escort is better, as it has an LSD.

just be prepared to pay out for a new rear quarter as Fezzys rot there the worst.

Very nice to drive great recaros but could do with the viscous LSD from its big brother the Escort.

I noticed on passionford that Fords do rust even worse than Vauxhalls of the same era, just in places that can't be seen.

Which is good because I love the restoration threads
