change the cambelt.. on a Corsa B, P reg, 1.2 Breeze?

I've been told a few different things just wanted to find out...

When was it last done? I has mine done as soon as I got the car. Worth doing unless you have a reciept in the last year or so IMO.

Lol mine has done 84k and not being replaced. Getting it done when i can afford it tho. Stupid vauxhall, should of had a chain like the 1.2 16v

4years or

40k for a 16v

80k for an 8v

same applies to diesels

its not the belts which give tho in all fairness, its the rollers which are what really needs doing during a belt change!

alot of people (and garages) cut corners and costs and think doing the belt is good enough...

what engine have you got? find the engine corde i.e. c16xe etc... go get the belt and tensioner kit from a motor factors, take it to a small garage and only get charged the labour,

unless uwanna have a go yourself

Nope, and even if it breaks it wont break the whole engine.

Ok then, on a scale of 1 - 10 could you give me a rough figure on how hard it is?

Also how wouldnt it break the whole engine?

@ Shep - is it really every 80k? Thats quite good.....
