I have corsa Turbo (c20let) The software is standard and its running about 240 bhp. When I'm excelerate hard through 4th/5th the EM light comes on.
Its not over boosting as its only running 10psi. Any other ideas?

thanks Mark

Swear I heard someone talking about the Lambda getting upset on the big engine cars.

Have you done a paper clip test on the car?

search google for vauxhall paperclip test! it will show u what to do and u will find out what is causing the EM light to come on..

could be anything though, lambda, AFM, boost leak to the ECU vaccum or anything... sure the site is topbuzz something!

It should overboost.

If its holding 10 on standard management then it will bring up "boost out of range" as its only supposed to overboost to 10 and hold around 8.

The paper clip test reads the faults from the ecu.

As mentioned Top Buzz is good for this.

I thought the overboost could run 12psi then drop to about 8-9. I have the amal valve bypassed and using a lockable boost controller under the bonnet. I might try lowering the boost a bit more then untill I can change the software.

phase 2 all the way mate. Good compliment of power and general round the town banter. 260 bhp with a decent front mount cooler, free flowing exhaust and raised fuel pressure.

can fit an mbc, but if its still on std ecu theres not much point as it will keep bringing boost out of range fault codes etc.

also, you cant just turn boost up, you need to turn fuel up aswell

ok cheers ill try and plug back up the aml valve then an see how that goes. I dont ant to go phase 2 until early next year anyways. The boost is at 0.7 bar and it hold it spot on all th way through thats why im confused how it thinks its overboosting?

you need to do the paperclip test and see what it comes up with first and go from there as it may not be overboost, i think we are basing assumptions on the mbc really.

Just turn the MBC down a touch and it will drop the boost a little thats all Thats why its overboosting. If you do a paperclip test youll get code 116 I think.
