does this stuff actually work or am i giving it some false hope?!
Been losing my coolant, cant see where but there is a bit of moistness at bottom of rad and the rad gerally looks tired!

FFS dont use it! i used it on my old 1.4 16v and it fucked the water pump and ran shit therafter although it did cure water leak after couple of times

already used it. Robin thats the next port of call. Not really mechanically minded which means tasks take alot longer and with the amount of light in a day meaning its hard to catch chances to work on it and the cold weather. Well i'm sure you get the jist.

mate had a fucked rad in his diesel 106

rather than spending money on rad weld that worked a few days he popped in a few eggs and it was better and cheaper!

btw, im not saying do this but maybe some other people have tried eggs

i tried it, but my rad just pissed the water everywhere, then i think the engine seized through heat, and now the head gasket has gone me thinks, pours smoke out now, its like having my own smoke machine, poor old astra
