is a bit, but it depends how ill..though i don't understand that if the test case is about to cop it, then surely the results would be a bit useless - the effects could be the illness, or the drug or a mixture of both.
Were the drugs tested on animal prior to the testing on the 6 human subjects?

Yes it seems a bit harsh and also completely pointless if the drug is to treat something other than the persons illness.
Dom - yes apparantly they were tested on animals that developed the same side effects as the humans and the animals died but this was said to have been coverd up by the company.

no, seriously, before testing these drugs, consent has to be obatined from the person.
The paragraph here, imo, suggests that consent would be obtained before any administration
