a 285 big disc conversion kit for a corsa, consisting of:

set of new ATE callipers
set of pad carriers
Lightweight alloy spacer brackets
285mm discs with a choice of drilled or grooved
set of performance brake pads
pair of braded hoses
all new bolts and fixings

considering a set of standard size performance discs and pads would cost £120(ish) and these come with new bigger callipers, braided hoses etc...

well LMF do a 288mm kit for £215 i think, lets say braided lines are another £40 or so. With all the other bits about £270?
wat would be the advantage of this kit overthe LMF one?

the advantage with this kit over the v6 set up is that you get drilled/grooved discs and better pads.

also these are a lot lighter than the V6 setup and give a much better pedal feel as well due to the smaller piston size in the calliper.

So this kit would use 2 litre calipers and the alloy brackets to space it out enough to fit 285 disks?

if theyre just using the smaller calipers off the 256 discs, then 180 as those calipers are cheap as chips as recon items

Would these stop a 2ltr turbo corsa well? Or will i have to use V6 ones, because i still want a good feel to the pedal?

that seems to be the problem, people dont seem to want to spend much on their brakes seems strange they will spend £250 on a glorified air filter like a Viper etc...

generally speaking most cars on here would be fine with 16v 256mil or re-drilled 50 quid v6/turbo set up off ebay.

those that needs brakes as ant says will just but 4 pots
