why do people leave cars with engine conversions registed with thier old engines? Do they think its clever?

Because believe it or not, it's actually harder to sell a conversion car if you've declared the engine. Some people like to insure it illegally. As long as you have it insured as the correct engine though, your fine.

the log book must be correct with the engine otherwise it defrauds the dvla

Yeh thats mine.

Heres the reason for logbook...I done the conversion intenting to have it registered...But after a short trip to Iraq, i have now been medically discharged from the army after a incident that happind there, i am now no longer fit for service. Basically flung out on my arse without a penny, so now cannot afford to run or insure the car. Hope this clears any doubts?

But thats not illegal is it? Surely its only illegal if your in the wrong tax bracket or your insurance is invalid?

if your details on your car are different from whats on you log book in anyway you insurance is void and ilvalid

making it illegal ti drive the car on the road, ie breaking the law
