Tried washing them & Wonder Wheels spray - there anything else I can try?

I got some good stuff in an autoglym pack i bought, alloy cleaning spray. Its got phosphorus in it and its really strong, burns if you breath it in though. Makes the wheels really clean.

^^ my original sport wheels cleaned up, much better

Fairy PowerSpray. Sounds stupid but it bloody work, leave it on for 2 mins, then use a soft brush to scrub off!!

ive got this lime green stuff looks toxic. its called multi purpose cleaner, aas soon as you spray it on wheels brake dust and everything just runs of. its great stuff gets oil and everything of your engine aswell.

Muc Off.
Then once they are clean and dry put Muc Off silica wheel seal on them to form a barrier. Makes them easier to clean next time.

Try that 
Use a water squirter filled with the diluted concentrate to spray it into the hard to reach bits. Then keep brushing
Mine came up great doing that

Try and get some TFR if you can, can usually only buy it in large drums though.

wash with hot water and soapy bubbles

let them dry,give a quick chamois,then apply autosol metal polish

let polish dry,then rub off,and apply tire slick

wha lah

i have tried most of the wheel cleaners above as I have white wheels lol, best product so far is fairy liquid.
