does it follow the same route as std one, in the recess of the sump?

or does it sit low like the pro-tech manifold?

im gettin one next year after readin that cuz my protec one is worn flat at the bottom as the previous owner fitted -60mm springs

don't wrap it, its not worth the hassle.

why not wrap it? the gases escape faster as its hotter,

its a mild steel manifold so wont crack

and if im removing the egr and secondry air pump i might aswell

and ill be doing it with it removed, not on the car

Is it hard to remove the EGR and Secondary air pump ? I want to do this on mine, aswell as the air con and ecotec shizm. Are there any guides ?

keep unplugging stuff,

im gonna be fitting a veltman inlet possibly so im gonna be looking into it all properly as i dont want a eml.


but atm im weighing up the wrapping of the manifold
any ideas? good bad? pro's cons?

adam, it can rot much quicker when wrapped, not sure if its an issue for you, but its worth keeping an eye on.

got mine from halfords too, I remember the first time my mate (vaux mechanic) did an oil change he was confused as to why he couldnt get his rachet straight onto the sump plug as they do make it slightly tricky

the pro-tec sits low as there are 4 pipes beneath the sump not 2. it cant sit any higher (well mine cant)

i spoke to janspeed they said it follows std route so hopefully itll be good

imnot lowereing it eccesivly either thou only 40mm
