Never thought about it until now but can you imagine if the police actually achieved there ultimate goal, to cut crime completely! They would all be out of a job
They are fighting the very thing that keeps them in a job

They would still be needed as a deterrent.
(Yes I know they don't deter anybody apart from law abiding citizens)

What do you mean whats below us?
There is nothing directly below us.
There are other stars/planets/galaxies around us in every direction.

If we somehow got away from the pull of the sun, without knowing what stars are directly 'under' us we'd fall for hundreds of thousands or millions of years without hitting anything.

Crime will be completely gone when criminals are scared of the justice system.
The only people who I can see scared of it atm are people who wouldn't break the law in the first place.

It's the same thing as saying if we all did what the Government supposedly wanted, i.e. stopped drinking, smoking, and driving, this country would very quickly run out of money.

Surely we would not 'fall' anywhere without some sort of force causing us to move in one direction or another. Unless we got everyone in the Northern hemisphere to jump up and down.

I was answering the question of what would happen if we fell.
I know we won't actually fall.
The Earth however is spinning with the moon as a satellite and if the Sun's gravity wasn't pulling on us something else would be, which would be a force causing us to move in some direction.
