Evening folks.. I've just fitted my new rust free tailgate to the Mk3..

I'm looking for ideas/inspiration on what I should do to it.. I'm not getting it professionaly painted becasue it is going to have a bike rack on it 5 days a week for the next few months so will just get marked.

Needing Ideas on what I could do..

So far I've thought of just painting it same as the car myself so it doesnt stand out too much or do something funky.. Car will be down about 100 - 110mm on D90's..

Anyone help then let me know.. Heres a pic of the back just now..

smooth the wiper, trim the plate recess down, get a popper on it and de lock, leaving the VW badge, but in black.

Yesh, weld a plate over the number plate recess making it shallower like alot of MK2's have done!

Loose the wiper and spray it yourself until you finsihed with the bike racks then get it done by a pro

He has a Leather interior - Gti?
its on coilovers
8" wide wheels (unsure what they are called)
Just been resprayed in its original colour
and then other bits that you can see from the pictures

those wheels are compomotive th monos in 16x8's, hes from st helens isn't he?

make the recess US spec, so the width of a US number plate, or get rid of the plinth and delock and dewiper with a black vw badge
