Ollie's post about the fingerprint thing got me thinking...
It seems a lot of people on here are fed up with the way society in general is these days. People saying their parents are heading off to another country or they're thinking of moving abroad etc...
Does anything think the opposite? Does anyone think that this country is actually OK to live in and don't have the gripes that others have?
Your views are welcome.

I Love this country, but its not without its gripes.
I shall not move as its my home and i am proud to be English
Plus if we all give up theres no hope for us.
I plan to have lots of children and hope that life will change for the better in the future

I dont have a problem with this country as a whole, as there will be things in every country that will piss me off, but there are a few things I dont agree with.

I love this country. The scenery and the people.
It's a shame that the current government seems to want to integrate Britain into a multi cultural nation.
The problem I see is this country is loosing itself.
The law is too slack aswell.

No i personally think that this country is finished, everything we do we are watched and tracked. Isnt it the Uk has more cameras than the rest of the world?
We are taxed to the max on everything we do and fined to get what else we have left. We will soon have ID cards fingerprints. cctv everything we do is tracked.
I dont believe all the crap that its to stop terroists its to keep us all under control. Like advising us not to fly etc.
Global warming is a mass scare factor and there is no conclusive proof that it is us harming the ozone and not just the way of the earth e.g. another ice age. I really don't believe much I Hear anymore i think its all to keep us under control like little hamsters. I cant wait to move abroad in january.
I also hate the pathetic justice system and they way people get away with murder literally! I watch crimewatch and them shows a lot and the people with no insurance or mot or anything for that matter get a small fine most if the time. The police are another joke, do they go for real criminals?no because they are scared. they would much rather sit there earning £500 an hour pulling people for speeding.

TBH though its just a case of 'grass is greener' as all countries have their faults and if you lived anywhere else you'd be complaining there too about something or another!

Agree with cosmo, whenever i go abroad and i come home you realise how fucking ace this place is.
We take alot for granted....
Nanny state is a huge gripe, global warming is never going to be "fixed" the world will adapt, if it doesnt humans will.
After travelling to cairo, the uk is possibly the least pollutant country ive ever visited. The smog and stink of petrol was unbeleivably they have like 6x more cars than us all running on leaded petrol.

I would normally agree but theres too much to complain about in britain I used to love Britain but as you get older you see the true colours. Did you see the papers the other week saying how many thousands are leaving every week. Wait til the new countries join the EU, wont just be poles etc rushing here then
