Never really been a fan of induction kits to be honest but i just wanted to know what everyone seems to have. I do like the vipers but im just not sure whether they do that much for the price your paying.
Any information would be great ie, do they really get rid of any flat spots, increase bhp, and increase mpg, like all the adverts say on sites

K&N was sweet on my 1.4 and 1.6 sport but piperx gave flatspots. if you get them set up with heat shield and air feed they are fine and sound sweet.
Personally i'd go for the K&N Apollo or BMC

ive got a viper on m8 (£50 off ebay) theres no ROAR!!! like a K&N cone and they certainly dont give you an extra 10bhp. Dont waste £250 on one. The improve low speed driving on XE engines as they are enclosed so no heatsoak.

the best would be a K&N mounted inside the old air box as it will be free from heatsoak and still have bigger filter area compared to panel filter

Standard airbox drilled with a cold air feed and K&N panel filter.

Standard filters a made of paper, uprated ones are usually cotten and are oiled. The K&N ones are oiled quite heavily and can be bad if the engine sucks it up. The Green ones aren't as oiled.

I'd just drill the standard airbox and run a larger cold air feed to it. The only induction kit I would go for would be a Viper or similar but they are alot of money.

dblias air box with k n n panel filrter. made some diffrence power wise after having a piper x which just drew hot air in all the time! the dblias makes a low pitch induction noise but not in your face like most kits

Vipers are cheap, ask Rob_Lee how much he payed
I've had a few different types - K&N, Powertec and BFO and Viper on my sport, and the Viper was DEFINITELY better than the others.
Panel filter in a modded airbox is the best bet though, cheaper and better than an induction kit.
