looking for 195/45/15 for my wheels at the moment, as my current ones are almost at the limit.

What would people pick, obviously taking the price into consideration?

Are the Uniroyals really worth that much more?

Edit: Found the Uniroyals for £49 each fitted, so £196 for the set.

I would, a good point was made the other day saying why do people put shit tyres on during the worst road conditions they'd drive in!!! TBH i don't know anything about Toyo's. I thought they were summer tyres!!! But i've heard so much good things about the uniroyals.

Yep. I also think the Yoko A539's are amazing, i think they are very good in the wet and amazing in the dry, but some say they are crap in the wet!!! TBH i'd never push a car too hard in the wet but thats just me!

I've got T1-Rs on the front and budget on the rear which makes things intersting in the wet as the fronts grip far harder the rears.

guys, to be honest I'm just after an answer for the tyres included, as I can get both of these cheaply and locally very easily.

as a perfect example, I had the toyo t1-s on the corsa c 1.8 and they lasted 4k miles and were a bit shit. So I replaced them with rainsports and the grip is so much better in all conditions and under braking. Rainsports seem to last a while for me as well.

so Dave, you think the Uniroyals grip better, and last longer? I have been told the Toyo's are soft, so don't last too long.

Of the 2 I'd pick Uniroyals, based on the good stories I've heard of them.
But personally I use Goodyear Eagle F1's on the Astra. The owners manual recommends them for the car.

Uniroyals are from ebay, from Rochfordtyres, and Toyo's are ordered in from Halfords, then all would be fitted locally for £8 a wheel.
