Got it onto its coilovers and wheels today!

Well chuffed with how its looking, loads still to do like paint the wheels, boot and few mechanical things..

Wheels work well, didn't early mk3 GTi's have similar wheels anyway?

Looks mint m8 , where abouts did you get the coilovers from and how much ? also the wheels lol where from and much ?

Its off the road mate, wont be out till next year sometime.. It was on Falkland a couple of weeks ago and got 119bhp though.

Colin: Minor back arch adjustments required... Mrs angle and mr grinder are coming out to play.. lol..

Boots fully primered ready for basecoat 2moro then laquer it saturday hopefully..

The adaptors are sexier than the wheels!!! lol... The back wasnt rubbing when I took it up the street earlier but its settled about a cm so it is now.. lol..

Might just put the bk up a few mm to sort it out.. The suspension has absolutely no movement.. lol

Not ideal when my work is a 60 mile round trip... grrrrr

You not a fan of them I take it.. Had them on a few cars now and actually quite like them... They give quite a good stretch on the back aswell..
Well chuffed how the boots turned out, just finished rebuilding the lock etc... and put the wiring loom back in it..

There federals... so you were correct.. lol

Wheels arent done yet, will get started on them this week. Doing one corner of the car at a time.. Paint wheel, caliper, and clean up inner arch etc.. Means I wont forget anything.. lol

Awesome mate! And that MK2 is stunning, but I think the Mk3 needs to go lower

This is my mates VR6 when he brought it with a "poor" 30mm drop...



He then got some FK coilovers and brought some cheap 17's for the winter (as his others are highly polished TT jobbies (see front of car)


Unfortunetely these are Camera phone pics and the car is very dirty.... But you get the idea.... Its low
