Right This is doin my head in now i drive a 1999 1.2 16V corsa any my mods are as follows:-

Lowered Suspension
16" Alloys With Yoko Tyres!
Led Techno Back Lights
Double Smoked angel eyes!
Scorpion Exhuast!
Window Tints!

Ive worked hard all year and done all the shifts i can to save up for my car get it all tip top and make sure everythings spot on which it is because after working hard all year i didnt want to drive a shed as Im sure you can all understand!

Im 18 and had my licence for 3 months so i have 0 NCB
My Insurance is £2700 fully comp with all my mods listed with liverpool victoria and people are telling me its a rip off so ive just this minute tried quinn who everyone recomend and they told me £2400 fully comp with no mods!

Do You Think i will be able to find cheaper insurance because for what my car is £2700 is alot for one years insurance on a students wage!

Yes you can, I have no idea why your paying that much, i can't see why you want fully comp, and ffs just phone around erery insurance co. you can find, don't look in the back of max power, they're all rip offs, try the big insurers, most of the little insurers are owned by the bigger co.'s so they have to make a bit un top too if you understand me???!!!

Where do you live mate,

il live in the lowest rated area (right out in the sticks) and mine is £900, if i insured the car where i work (in the centre of bristol) its over £1500 so where you live can actully have more impact than the car you drive (to a certain degree)

What the first part of your post code?

True, but still, why would you pay £2700 on FC if the car is only worth £2000?????? Just doesn't make sense to me.

yup... it does seem a bit strange to insure a car, paying a premium of more than the cars value.

Will Liv Vic replace your mods like for like?

This is a similair story to me.. If i insured a car at my house, it would be £300 dearer then insuring it at Gaz's approx 10 minutes away if that

The value of the car has little impact on the insurance price. No matter how much your car is worth, it will still make the same size dent in the Merc or Beemer it runs into the back of!!!!

M Manchester
25-39,32,34-35,38,43,45-46 F* - this is the highest risk rating
30-31,33,41,44 E* - almost as bad

have you tried putting a parent on the policy as a named driver?

because you end up paying more than the car is worth, which is silly.

get a TPFT quote, and see how much cheaper it is.

then don't crash.
