Alrite guys, I've been floating round here for the past few weeks and didnt give myself an intro, mainly because of work and stuff.

After my first car's cambelt snapped *sob* I decided the value of the car wasnt worth the value of the repair so I stripped it down and scrapped it!

I searched around through various cars and decided I'd go for a corsa, namely cos my family are vauxhall users, My dad having a 2.0 vectra sport, my mum driving an astra 1.6 and now me with my 1.4 16v corsa B.

Now, I thought bout it when I came to buying this corsa, and the plus side is that I dont have to get out in the rain!

Yep you guessed it lmao, its a 5dr edition

Anywho, I've gave it a good old clean + polish, and my alloys dropped straight on off my old car, yesturday I added the clear side repeaters.

Anywho, Id like to see what people think of my new project (even though its a 5 door)

Tinted blue sidelights

side view

front view

and finally the rear!

Any comments are welcome, and any ideas what I could do next?

Yeah, Im just gettin a feel for whats available really, I looks quite high on the alloys as it stands so there maybe an option to lower it!

The main reason I joined CS was for inspiration really, that and the cool tuts when it comes to repairs etc.

Thanx for the warm welcome!

As we're all like minded people here, what do any of you think I could do to it next, or in the future?

They don't fit, and no five doors came with spoilers. They don't even make an aftermarket one similar to the GSi one..

There are some nice subtle lip spoilers on eBay however and the Irmy one is nice, tad pricey at £350 though.

Once again thanks for the ideas etc, I've painted the back drums 'silver' currently but thought about red? I've yet to do the front callipers though.

As for the GSI Spoiler I've ebay searched and its came up with two results.

Anyone know roughly how much I'd pay for lowering springs and/or do I need dampeners?

Welcome mate. Personally i'd paint the drums black and the calipers either silver or black. As there is'nt much to show off may aswell just make them look tidy.

Lowering would get you off to a decent start, ideally you would get a full setup. Springs + dampers, but if your on a budget I was lowered 40mm for ages on my Corsa and had no troubles.

They call it a GSi one on there mate, but compare the two together and they are not at all alike.. Subtle ones will look ace though.

Real GSi spoiler, 5dr "GSi" spoiler... Nice subtle 5dr spoiler.

Welcome!

As a general rule, paint drums black, no one is impressed by highlighted low spec brakes Front calipers look good in silver, black, gold or maybe red...

You can fit lowering springs with the standard shocks (or "dampers" by the way, not dampeners - they dont make anything wet) but it can lead to a poor ride. Better off saving up and getting a full shock and spring kit, Konis are a popular choice.

Good luck with it anyway

Rid the wheels? what dont you like about them? Surely they're better than the hub capped 13 "s that came with the car?

I've gotta work with what I have for noew due to having to go into debt cos my old car got scrapped.
