Loads of people have been telling me to get a face book profile. Why?  surely it's same nonsense as face party / my space, why would I need one?
Anyway, found I needed to register to look at other people's pics, so quickly registered, but rather than using my name, I used Paul J (so people couldn't search for me and find Paul *surname*... ) - but obviously had to enter a email address..
Now got shit loads of people saying 'bla bla has added you as a friend' - like people I haven't seen for years (not that I'd want to), how are they even finding me / why ???? 
wtf is the point of it?

Face book started as an American college thing. You could only register if you were a student, was used to keep in touch with ppl and shit like that (i used to know someone that used it a lot).. I think it got bought by a big company (as myspace did etc).. so I guess they're trying to be myspace now?

I signed up to it last week. I also made a Myspace thing which I have never really been on since making it like a year ago. Facebook is cool cos you can use it to share your photos better, which is cool when you're at Uni. If I wasn't at Uni then I wouldn't use it...

Facebook is better than myspace .etc as you have to go to Uni to get an account so you see less of this:

Plus its a set layout so it won't get all buggy like myspace

i am on it, but only very recently.
it is a really good way to stay in contact with old mates from school etc.
and also as i am avbout to do a ski season, i am meeting loads of people that are going to work in the same resort as me!!!

You can go on it now even if you arn't a student. I'm on it but only adding proper friends as it is quite intrusive.
