This weekend i made a small upgrade from this....

...to this! (excuse crap pics havent had time to take me own)

It's a 2001 Cupra with 58k on the clock, full Seat service history and just had the major 60k service including the cambelt and water pump.

Got it for £5k with the 17's, supersprint cat back exhaust, tints and some lovely lexus lights

Wheels are a bit marmite to me, cant make me mind up on them!

Interior is soooo comfty and the power delivery is so smooth.

Only real plans at the moment are filter and uprated dump valve and some nice boost and oil temp gauges. Oh yeh and to find some standard lights so i can bin the lexarse ones!

So yet another cupra owner on the forum!

They tend to split when higher boost is put through them, as when mapped they have to handle over the twice the standard boost.

Friend with a golf turbo had the problem, sounded nice, like a chatter noise, but doesnt do the turbo much cop

Nice car Rob

If the standard bosch one is similar to my LCR one then yes they are small, plastic and prone to early failure (diaphram). I just got an ally Forge one (spring).

Looking good Where abouts in Kent are you from?

Yeah go for the Forge 007p divertor valve, I've read that dump valves can cause problems on these engines.

Which gauges you gonna go for? I'm looking at some at the minute, not sure whether to spend the extra and go for some Defi ones?!

there are lots of factors that can majorly hinder these engines performance wise. MAFs, n75s etc if its not all running top notch then they can turn dog slow
