Take someone with you that is insured atleast 3rd party on another car so that you can drive it back if you wish. Obviously take the money with you for it - it'd have to be cash or bankers draft as they'd probably insist on the cheque clearing beforeyou take the car.

Don't meet them at a petrol station or anything, meet them at their house!

Weigh up the costs of getting there and back etc - is there another car local that is £50 or £100 more which would save you the hassle and ultimately cost the same in the end.

My mate went from Southampton to Carlisle. To get his Clio DCi.

Carlisle is past the lake district and I think it's the end of the M6

You can do the maths

With 105,000 miles on, some of which would have probably had hard accelartion, make sure it'll get you from Scotland to Essex without breaking down seriously, the amount it will cost you to get up there and the hassle of taking someone with you, is it worth the cost?

Car looks good, but to be fair is it worth such a big journey from essex to scotland for a c20xe corsa? surely you can find one much closer than that?
