what if there was a problem down one end.. would take you 20mins to run there
thats crazy big. then should put it next to the Empire State Building on its nose so people can see just how big it is.. and it floats better too

its a 1/4 of a mile long, you could drag race on it it would take a Corsa 1.2 8v 20 seconds to drive from one end to the other

The Maersk Emma was in the port where I work the other day (worls largest container ship - was dubbed "The SS Santa" by the UK press due to it's large content of xmas pressys for this country) - and that was HUGE!
We get some big ships in there on a daily basis but this one took the biscuit - pic on took on my mobile - note the TV news helicopter above it as it came to berth for a idea of the size!

Most large vessels have a huge turning circle tbh, when they get turned around in ports it is done by tugboats who litterly spin them on the spot - just like they did with the Emma - it's the width of the Emma that put's it above the rest, it is insane!

Also watched a docu the other day about the construction of the Voyager of the Seas cruise ship, they had a bit on there about the Freedom Ship which at the moment is just an idea, but would be pretty impressive to see.
