a 106 gti on TB's and stripped will handle far better and probably equally as fast as a standard corsa turbo

Dont get me wrong corsa turbo is fun in a straight line , but to me its just lacking something . lol . i had a Vts start of the year and was fairly nippy for a 1.6 with just a full exhaust system etc and handled ok (but the bearings were fucked in axel fpsl ) but always fancied a T/B 106 Gti . Jsut confused what to do the now lol

I'm forced to sell my engine to pay for the new beast on the way. It will have been freshly rebuilt when it is sold and as such the bottom end will have done 0 miles (built by Sandy)! The head will also be checked over by QEP (once I remove it from the car). This head has been proven in its previous spec (with an old tired 8v bottom end) utilising carbs, making 125.5 @ wheels, since then Jenvey Throttle Bodies were fitted and the car was alot quicker and returned much better drivability. The engine is not currently ready to go but I hope to get it turned around quite soon so I can get on with the new build, thats not to say I'm going to rush it at all. Heres a video of the engine in the old spec, prior to map trimming, as a taster:
http://noboost.com/temp/sandy/MOV03096.MPG

Heres a list of what parts will be included in the sale:

---Block/Head---
Rebuilt 16v TU5J4 Block including brand new OEM pistons and OEM Bearings/Seals. (0 miles)
Peugeot MLS 16v Head Gasket
QEP Worked Head - Cut back valves, reshaped combustion chambers, ported etc etc (will be checked by QEP)
Catcam 280/277 Cam with 11mm lift
Piper Cams Vernier Pulley

---Inlet/Fuelling---
45mm Jenvey SF Throttle Bodies
Custom Colin Satchell/Sandy Brown Inlet Manifold to retain suitable port spacing
Jenvey 90mm Trumpets and also Jenvey 105mm Trumpets (modified from 120mm)
Pipercross PX500 Filter (no backplate)
Custom Rose Jointed throttle linkages
Jenvey Throttle Position Sensor
SBD XE 2.0 16v 241cc Injectors (sub 500 miles old)
Custom one peice Jenvey fuel rail inc anodised clamp on tails

---Exhaust---
Magnex 106 stainless exhaust manifold modified to clear a 205 subframe

---Flywheel/Clutch---
I will include a brand new OEM clutch cover and plate (which will be sufficient) but the buyer will need to source a release bearing.
Standard TU4J2 Flywheel.

Power
This engine made 125.5 wheels / 150.5 flywheel in its previous spec (tired 8v bottom end, weber dcoe 40s), the change going from carbs to throttle bodies was very noticable in terms of power, the spec of this new engine should easily produce a solid 155/160bhp which will not hang around by any means!

Please note
The engine is supplied minus an ECU to run it. This can be done a number of ways:
Run it on a Standard ECU and have Wayne Schoffield of Chipwizards map it
Purchase a Standalone ECU (for example a KMS)
Purchase a Megasquirt ECU which is a DIY kit and seems to be giving decent results!
I do have a base Omex map which I can also include to get the car running, its actually a good map but could do with trimming due to the slight change in injector cc.

Price
£1600 without 205 modified magnex exhaust manifold.
£1700 with manifold.
Obviously the engine needs to be collected due to the weight but I can give the buyer a hand with this or perhaps meet somewhere

Id like one too, but id rather you spent the cash on some chips, decent FMIC (if you dont have one alrleady) a 50bhp shot of progressive n20 and that should see you 350bhp all day long. Power to weight will be ridiculas and it will be a right laugh!

106 is nice too
