...seem to be extremely cheap of what I've read since I've been a member.

My girlfriends 1.4 Zetec engine Mk4 Fiesta top end is nackered - we have been told by about 10 different sources that she is better getting off a new engine then replacing the parts as they are like rocking horse shit - good old engines made by Yamaha! She has been quoted about £1300 for brand new (or reconditioned) engine inc. labour.

I just wondered if there is any reason why Corsa engines & engine parts seem to be so cheap on here?!

The price she was quoted wasn't from a dealer - just from our family mechanic. Christ knows what Ford would charge. Another garage that do warranty work quoted £1500.

They aren't that much cheaper how much for a recon 1.4 16v?

How many corsa's are there on the road and the engines have stayed similar over a long period of time so bound to be easier to access parts etc

One of the benefits of owning a vauxhall, they are easy to work on.
