How hard was it to do? What sort of condition were the wheels in to start with? Fancy doing my spiders on the TVR in anthracite and wouldnt mind having a crack myself! Spraying isnt one of my strongest points tho!!!
Did you use cans?

yeah halfords have done me proud again with their paint-
check out my front splitter in my garage, that was done with halfords cans too.
this is how the wheels were before re furb- laquer peel, corroded, not curbed, few deep scratches though.
i did
wire brush on drill to remove loose laquer and corrosion-
80 grit sand all over rim and bad areas down to bare aluminium-
primer-
sand - 400 grit
primer filler - sand 600 grit
primer - 1200 grit sand
black paint 3 good coats -
sand rim and polish rim - 1200 grit lightly black paint
copious amounts of laquer all over in numerous coats!!

Look at the state of them before!!!!
Youve done a great job with them!!! Really fancy mine in anthracite, they are in good condition now (I think there might be a couple of light scuffs at worst!) so I dont think they will need to much prepping!
Still dont know whether to take it on myself tho!!

if you have sprayed stuff before then go for it, but i spent £60 on paint alone in halfords plus you need all the wire brushes and sand paper etc, so you are talking about spending 80 quid on materials and then a good few man hours.
if you are just wanting them solid anthracite an no polishing etc. you are better taking them to a wheel refurbing place for about 35 notes a wheel and you get your tyres re fitted and balanced for that.
hope that helps your decision.
