This is my first post.
I have a red corsa merit 5 door, want to respray it black and customise the interior andtint the windows, maybe a body kit later on, worth it or not?

Depends how much it is going to cost you and how much of a car that could buy you along with your Corsa as deposit etc.

I never see the point in doing it up to the nuts unless you have the cash really spare - I see too many ads saying "Spent £5k on it, bargain at £2.5k", what's the point if you're going to make a loss?

true! it cost me £400 nice little runner, got plenty of dosh to do it up, so if i spend about 1k or bit more doing it up it might be worth about 2-3k at least which would mean i would more than get my money back for it

where can you get them corsa sport stickers from? theyre cool.

point is though can a 5 door look as good as a 3 door?

Yeah, why not, as long as it's done up properly. If I was buying a modified Corsa, I'd want the engine, exhausts etc to be all running fine, so that I got no mechanicals. Just don't go over the top on exterior styling!

no 5 door will not look as good as 3 door and secondly putting a (done to death) combat kit on it will NOT add value to it

there are one or two 5 doors on here that have been modified but not too much! to be honest mate i wouldnt spray it i would just have the bumpers and arches colour coded, however i dont know whether the car is in need of a total respray, i would put some nice wheels on it, a backbox and filter and then that would be about it mate! go on search and look for modified 5 door corsas or something may find some ideas doin it that way!

Dont spend any money on it.... will be an utter waste.......... just run it until you can afford something that you already liek the looks off.

Why? You have to start somewhere if you want to get into modifying or have always been interested in it?!

I know if I was modifying a car properly, I start from the basic and work up...

He's pouring money down the shitter.......... car wont go up in value........ car will probably be knackered as he'll be spending his money on mods as opposed to keeping it running............ just pissing money away on a silly kit, that will rule out 90% of buyers when he comes to sell.

Just make it look smart, nice set of std corsa/vxl alloys like the corsa c sxi ones or something similar and lowered. The newer colour-coded bumpers and just make sure its all clean and polished up

And please NO bodykit

if you spent 3k on it your unlikely to get more than a couple of hundred over its value in standard form. Dont waste your cash, get something thats gonna look decent when you have spent some dollar on it.
