i dont like the ones with velcro you have to wrap round your calf...they give me cramp. so i want to get slip in old school ones

in answer to your question, i wear adidas f50 style ones, with ankles supports....they are ok....i just dont fasten the velcro

At various clubs I've been at, we warm up in training t shirts and are told NOT to wear shin pads in the warm up. I currently have some Nike strap jobs but will be going for slip ons as they are easier to put in just before the match and tape up

This is exactly what I get told...all the clubs I have been at...

I wear slip ins...with elasticated bandages under my socks to help keep them up...offer my ankles some support...and give a little more cushion between the bottom of my pads and boots...then tape up the pads to stop them falling down...

These pads with ankle supports on are far too restrictive...

i don't get the reasoning why you can't warm up in shin pads?! Seems a bit random.

If everyone knows you are all exposed then you shouldnt put in rash challenges omn your teammates before the match has even begun and injure them!

even so, being told NOT to wear them for warm up, surely it should be personal preference has it does no harm wearing them or has no negative effect on anyone else. I like to wear mine as long as possible then they feel natural if you get what i mean.
