Nia Griffith, Labour MP for Llanelli in Carmarthenshire wants UK speed signs to be read as kilometres per hour instead of the miles per hour. 70kph on motorways would equate to 43mph. This would cut the limits by two-thirds without having to replace a single signpost.

"A National Speed limit of 50mph would make roads safer" said Griffith. "And I suggest we interpret all signs in kph, so 30mph would be 30kph - around 20 mph. And 40mph would mean 40kph, or 25mph. This wouldn't cost alot."

She, quite simply, is a twat.

Although the government alledgedly have a plan for a 30mph limit on smaller A roads, and all B roads

Funny, tell that to my old man who has a shattered leg due to a car driver. The real problem of NOT PAYING ATTENTION....

Funny, he was only doing 20mph.. Yeah, speed killls. Controy if he's been going faster he would avoided the impact....

Speed doesn't kill, its the retards behined the wheel who "THINK" they know how to drive. Just watch white van man sticking up your ass, even though he's driving a 2 tonne van with in-adiquate brakes.... Yes, you are both skillfull and clever.....

OR those that jump red lights, or those that sit in the middle lane, or those that simply don't pay attenetion, or those that think they own the road... Shall I carry on..

Yes, speed kills... Nope, its not the state of driving at all is it.

MAKE THE FUCKING TESTS HARDER THEN YOU RETARDED GOVERNMENT TWATS...

Yes make everyone travel slower and we will eliminate all the problems of roads, people are so fucking stupid. The limits were designed so long ago they no longer have relavence.

Peoples inability to obey road laws/manners like giving right of way to the RIGHT and other things which some people pay blatent disregard.

I actually got chased by a dude in a merc as he wasnt paying attention at a roundabout i was entering and he should have given way to the right but he was too busy talking to his wife and nearly went into the side of me, then proceeded to chase me for 2miles giving me the V's tellling me to pull over

He did not speed at any time. He wasnt paying attention and nearly caused an accident then decided hed have a go at a spot of road rage.

Clearly lowering the motorway speedlimit would cure all driving problems the world would be saved and we could all hug trees.

The other thig about this speed shite that bothers me,

A couople of guys were killed a few years ago on the road i drive to work on its a 40mph limit residential (big houses long drives). Some asain rude boys from slough were giving it some beans late at night and lost control ploughed straight into a house and they were killed instantly.
They were reported to have been doing at least 60mph if not 80 before braking.

Then people start saying, reduce the speedlimit to 30mph!!!

WTF is that going ot acheive? Traffic? Yes.

If idiots dont pay attewntion to a 40mph limit, why the hell would they stop to look at the new expensive sign saying 30mph

People need to rationalise their fears. Like i mentioned in the other post. Hear a loud car people start shouting at you to slow down, go faster in a quiet car ,they dont bat an eyelid and ill give u a guess as to which would have stopped quicker/safer in an accident!!

Rusty nife then hung up in public to show what will happen to people who are thick as pigshit and try to ruin society.

Worse than a murder tbh

its just another MP trying to ger his / her name in the news.

There was something on tv the other night and there was a woman talking about young people with powerful cars.

The cars she showed pictures of were corsas, saxos, fiestas etc. Now any normal person wouldnt class these as powerful cars.

Ans then the other agrument of stopping young people driving in the dark.

So well thought out that they forget that this courty in winter is dark until 8am and then dark from 4 pm.

So you could go to work between 9 and 3 no working late, night shifts, late shifts of any kind, if you work in a pub or something then your fucked

She was asked questions by young motorists and couldnt answer any of them.
