I dont see a problem with what she is doing.

If she is going to give the kid a good life and treat him well, which she seems to do with her own kids, then good on her.

I've gone off her since Live Aid when she swore to look hip and happening. I've no doubts the adoption is another attempt to keep up with other celebs.

Think out of the box here.

She's robbing the kid of his culture....he's one year old FFS.

And why him? why from there?

She's got so much money she could have made a difference to a whole bunch of the orphans without spreading it around the worlds media.

attention whoring using a defenceless child if you ask me

Culture, he wasnt going to have the greatest upbringing over there!

And what if she is using it for publicity. Yeah its wrong, but it will last for 10mins whilst a little kid will still get a better life out of it forever.

yep, its wrong and thats my point.

The kid will forever be know as 'the one that madonna' saved

Meanwhile, back in the real world, after all this has blown over his village will revert back to the place it was before.

She didn't pick an 'ugly' one either did she?

an 'ugly' one, its 3 months old! Cute kids at that age can become monsters and vise-versa!

Yeah he will be known by that, but probably better than that dead baby who died at 18months from disease, etc.

He is 13 months old IIRC.

Ive seen these sort of orphanages in Africa and believe me when I say that the kids there aren't all perfectly formed individuals with all four limbs in the right place.

I wont comment further on that particular point, i'm sure you understand where im coming from.

Its A kid, it doesn't matter if its English, Japanese, African, Dutch, Maltese, Indian or whatever, she's going to give it a better life whether its for fashion or not, it will still be better off.

So why not throw some of her £££ anonymously at the village in general?

BBC News Report - 3 months old

Robin my glad someone else gets my point that regardless of why she is doing it and what benefits she gets at the end of the day she'll be giving a kid a better life.

because its not fashionable.

I don't agree with why she's doingit, but the kid WILL have a better quality of life, no matter how you look at it.
