just started ringing around to get some quotes so i know how much im looking to pay. so far rang adrian flux who wont even touch me and then got put through to a call center who just put me through to aload of different companies and the price range goes from 1500 to 4000 thats with mods declared and these are companies that are supposed to be cheaper for moddified car owners. but RAC qouted me 1137 who i thought would of been more expensive seen as they arent aimed at young drivers. its just annoying that some companies want to charge me 4 times what the car is worth. i just dont understand where they can get there prices from.
all the qoutes were for fully comp.
sorry for the rant

yeah i know that wasnt with mods declared though cause i put the phone down cause he said he wouldnt be able match it. not complaining but why do RAC charge me 1137 fully comp all declared and they arent aimed at young drivers with moddified cars.

The reason some places can offer cheap prices for modified cars, is because they don't insure 'risky' drivers.
18 year olds are a risk, apparently . Thats not a dig at you, its just the way the Insurance business works

I got quoted between 1493 and 10427 on a 2.2 SRi Astra yesterday (TPFT!!!).
I think it would be a bit silly to pay the expensive price, so why would people pay 4k ona 1.2 corsa when they had a quote of 1500 as well?

£1100 with RAC is'nt a bad price anyway. I bet there's people on here paying alot more. Still worth trying to beat though.
