Basically she is a teacher...and has been told she needs to remove her veil whist teaching in the classroom...she is refusing to do this...

How the fuck can she expect to teach without having the interaction with students face to face...

Makes me sick...can you imagine the uproar if I bounced into a mosque or something similar in a Muslim country wearing my shoes and showed little to no respect for their cultures and beleifs?

If she doesnt like it fuck off back to a Muslim country..

Religions shouldn't impose problems on other people, especially when it comes to their education. I think this woman needs to be taught what is ignorant and what is not.

my point was that it seems ok (judging by this thread) to hurl abuse at people for having different views.

yes, she's being stubborn, yes it's silly, she shouldnt be allowed to do it.

BUT, has anyone read the full news story? (cos i know i havent) or are you going on what has been said here? (i mean, how do you know she's not teaching in a muslim school? its not been said in here...)

heres a funny story, my mum works at a school in leciestershire,

she was out on her lunch on friday and a guy came up to her who she used to teach and started saying hello and stuff,

then said to my mum, "oh and you must remember my wife too?"

and he points to his wife who has a veil on

my mums reply was "well im sure i might recognize her if i could see her face!"

the guy told his wife to take her veil off but she refused so my mum still doent know who she was!
