how do you modify the plastic arches on a corsa b to prevent tyres rubbing on pot holes and big bumps etc?

Trim them, remove the bolts on them and bond them on.

it rubbed today at the front end when i went over a speed bump and then again over a pot hole, it didnt rub on the plastic arch lip, it rubbed on the lip behind it that the plastic arch is screwed to!

Your wheels don't fit then Sounds like they are the wrong offset. Do you know the offset?

ye they are 42, abdus has them on his but he had no problems and he had same car, with same wheels, with same offset and his was lower than mine too!

maybe it's a one-off mate. it shouldn't rub.

ET42 isn't great, ET45-ET49 is the proper off set for corsas

I've got ET48 and lowered 60mm and mine can rub over bumps if ive got four people in the car

So et48 also isn't good then

et42 was ok for me and I never had scrubbage at all even with the car full

You have 17" and I think that is why it scrubs

personally I think that all corsas vary slightly as mine are all the same offset (et45) and are fine except for the front drivers on which sometimes rubs

novas always have 1 arch which sticks out further than the other....

ye it sweems to only be the front left arch! what colour are spigot rings and wheels spacers? which one is a light blue colour?

spiggot ring on the TSW pace I had was light blue.

nah it must be the spiggot rings then that i thort were spacers, i didnt see those on them!

My speedlines rubbed until i trimed the lip of my wheel arch mouldings then it was fine.

if its rubbing on the outer arch you wouldnt want spacers anyway

just take the plastic off and trim the metal back and flair it a bit aswell. then stick the plastic bk on. and dont 4get to remove the screws at the top and bond it
