Actual bodily harm means hurting someone, if thats like punching them, giving them a bruise, buring them with a cigerette.
Grevious bodily harm is worse, when you actually wound someone, i.e stab them, break a bone.
GBH is more serious than ABH.

Months ago.. They got charged with ABH and it's finally going to court. There is a LOT of forensic evidence against the person too, but no CCTV...

GBH is attacking somone with intent though right? So if he had smashed the bottle and slashed me with it then that would be GBH. Or murder. Fuck, scary stuff

I've been to court twice after I was assaulted and my old car was damaged. (2nd time was cos the guy appealed against the assault)
It's not a pleasant experience. Barristers are twats.
He lost. Twice.
Although 4 and a half years on they are still paying me compensation at £15 a month (didn't get anything off them for a year) and him and his brother only got something like community service which they probably didn't turn up for anyway

Grievous Bodily Harm is when a more serious injury is involved. Did you have anything broken when he attacked you?

If ed can prove long term injury which I think isn't the case here.
The charge is put up only after medical reports have been submitted and other evidence
