Well seen as I have no job ive started doing some work on the Corsa. Ive got a list of things that needs done. Ive started doing a few of them, ill keep this updated with some pics for anyone thats interested!

Started doing the head gasket yesterday, just gotta set the timing up then the headbolts! going to take the interior out today ready to put the leather into it

Well heres some of the last pics taken before it came off the road. Its looking a bit of a mess the now. Ill get some pics of what its like now tomorrow.

Bad bad bad bad, shouldn't jack the car up in the middle of the axel, putting all the backend weight on the axel will bend it.

bend it, bugger the rear alignment, wear the tyres out and affect handling

Axel is not made of tin foil you know

Maybe he would be more advised o put a sock on the TB

i think he means that jacking there will bend the axle which will affect the camber of the rear wheels and therefore put more wear on the outer edges of the tyres - similar to tracking being out on the front

The head gasket was blown between cylinder number 4 and the water jacket we recon

I always jack cars up off of the beam, it's a good place to put the axle stands. If you could bend it by jacking up off of it then it would collapse under hard cornering.
