Think the bench is a different shape

Ah not good, cheers bud. ..anywhere I can find out for deffo? I heard the back seats are the same, as are the fronts accept from the tilting mechanism.

They are interchangable, just the fronts don't tilt which is an MOT failure in a 3 door.

Bear in mind, 60/40 rear seats are totally different to the old style ones, so are the mountings on the floorpan of the car.

Would require a bit of welding to fit the different brackets onto the floor pan. That's the only way to have them fit and be functional. However, you could put the padding and trim onto a normal style seat like you would do when fitting Calibra leather...
