IMO this is our country... if the goiv't wants it then so be it... now I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed them but, for example, allowijg that woman to have a veiled up pic on her d.licence is wrong and also allowing muslims to wear own clothes instead of school uniform is ridiculous

I think he has a valid point, especially when he talks about how hard it is to relate to someone when their face is covered. Good on him for speaking out IMO.

Remove them......this is a Church of England country, no other religion should be allowed or tolerated.

In fact, ban all religion worldwide, and most of the world's problem would vanish overnight.

should DEFINITELY be made to remove them for official documents.

but as for being allowed to wear them in public, i can't see why they arent allowed, anyone is entitled to wear anything IMO.

I think this was done because of his own personal safety and not some ethical issue. As I understand every one of his seniors has said they do not intend to consider personal requests when deploying staff.

She is - hence the concern over his safety.

My opinion over the veils is that in a persons free time they can do what they like. But at work in some circumstances they should be disallowed. For example the NHS has had to introduce special uniforms to accomodate for veils. I would feel uncomfortable, just as that particular community would feel uncomfortable if I went to thier country with my family and my mother and sisters didn't cover thier faces. It works both ways, it's just we are too politically correct to do anything about it.

There was a case where a woman was issued a driving licence with her face veiled. Though passports you have to have a mug shot and be id'd in private.

Indeed, especially when people posts crap like this:

Which doesn't actually have much grounding in fact.
