Whats the best way to clean gold jewelry?

Is there something I can soak it in? or is it best to send it off to a jewelers for a going over?

You more than likey have 2 clean it slightly, with a toothbrush or something. try a household cleaning detergant, nothing with bleech

Put some scotch in a glass, and the jewellery in there with it. give it a stir occasionally and it'll clean it up nicely.
