Time has come and very soon going to book the T4 in for a remap
Quotes already
Dastek, Scotland - £550
RS tuning, leeds - £345
Anymore out there, emailed a few companies off the net...Worth me driving 4 hrs to leeds to get it for £345 for same results..Probably is..
Looking for companies maybe few hrs away at the most, even though I don't mind travelling...
Once remapped should see about 230-240bhp..

Altho its in Chesterfield - But Dave lives up north somewhere in the sticks
So try them

in the sticks how is durham 'in the sticks'
anyway, Dastek in scotland near edinbrough are good. the only other place and probably the best in the country is Nobles in chesterfield.

Leeds is about a 4hr drive to RS tuning and then back, if i took it easy shouldn't be to bad compared to paying £550 at dastek...Don't mind the travelling unless it's 8 hrs or that
mind you don't think i would be taking it to easy on the way back
i'll dig out Nobles info

aye thats the only thing but grudge paying £200 more for same results really..
when could get away with say £60 petrol or that instead and still be £150 up...

mav, for the sake of a days driving and the extra money in fuel go to somewhere decent.
I have seen nobles spend hours extra on my car for the standard mapping charges because they are proffessionals they like to do things right, perfectionists is an understatement. A good mapper can squeeze lots more power and fuel economy from a map. Im pretty good with omex, I set up my own cams, set the map up and nobles gave it a power run, it made 168 bhp. left with them for a day to play with the map and cam timing it made an extra 17 bhp! and we settled on a figure of 178 bhp in the end.
a lot of places will fit the unichip, check the parameters, raise rev limits (if possible) and play with ignition timing and fuelling until they reach a point they are happy with and leave it at that.

aye do that steve cheers..
I know what you are saying Dave, I want someplace good to do it that will do it rigght and spend the time on it...
Dastek have the good rep but asking way too much in my eyes...
Nobles is an option as it's about the same drive to leeds..not that bad, as said traveling isn't a problem..

well, Nobles it is then The dastek main place near edinbrough are meant to be really good as well. spoke to them a lot over the years and I would be confident they would do a good job.
