Just diggigng through my documents on my PC when i came across an old old document id written when i was in dispute with the RAC over a windscreen fitting service. Here it is

RAC Autowindscreen Case

Arranged for RAC to fix windscreen on Friday 9th August.

Friday 9th August:
10: 00 Arranged for my car to be left at County Hall due to fitting of windscreen.

12: 00 No phone call from RAC as yet I called RAC to double check time of fitment, RAC said no body could come out and said that they could come out tomorrow (Saturday 10th August).

Saturday 10th August:
No phone call by 14: 00, I telephoned and RAC said nobody was available to fit windscreen could they come out on Monday 12 August, I agreed.

Monday 12th August:
Arranged for my car to be left at County Hall for the day.

11:45 RAC came out to fit windscreen

13:30 RAC finished fitting windscreen

15: 00 Went to inspect job on car, noticed that rubber did not meet the body of the car on the top left hand corner of the windscreen, inspected inside the car, noticed that the windscreen did not meet the interior trim and dashboard, gap of 1.5cms running down left hand side, and lots of glue noticable. Tested alarm interior alarm sensors, none worked. Noticed a few glass fragments lying inside the car.

15:30 Contacted RAC again, RAC said to bring car down to them at 16: 00 same day.

16:10 Arrived at RAC. RAC man inspected the alarm sensors and wiring. Found out that the fitter had severed the alarm wire while fitting the windscreen, had used masking tape to reconnect wires incorrectly thus alarm did not work. Man at RAC reconnected the wires twisting them together and using insulation tape, the sensors worked correctly but still not proper wiring.

16:30 RAC finished inspect windscreen, said that nobody could refit the windscreen until Thursday 15th August. I agreed

Wednesday 14th August:
Noticed whilst washing the car the windscreen actually leaks. Water on inside of windscreen, and on tax disk thus staining the tax disk.
Also noticed several larger fragments of glass lying on the floor of my car.

Thursday 15th August:
14: 00 No phone call from RAC I called, they said nobody had time to fit the windscreen, could they rearrange for the next day Friday 16th August. I agreed

Friday 16th August:
No phone call again, called RAC man said nobody in could do it, short staffed, excuse given quote "we are short staffed because a lot of staff have been out late the night before". Left it at that.

Sunday 18th August:
Phoned up RAC customer services central centre.
Had conversation with lady explained the situation. She tried to put me through to customer services, nobody there so she said that she will fax through the details to customer services and they will ring me tomorrow (Monday 19th August)

Monday 19th August:
10: 00 Called RAC Customer Services again. They said they will contact Worecester RAC autowindscreens themselves and get back to me.
10:30est Customer Services contacted me back. They said they have spoken with the manager at Worcester and that he would call me back within 30mins.
16: 00 Still no phone call from Worcester!!!
