My friend and I decided that out ski and snowboard club had to have the biggest loudest stand possible at uni... We got a PA system and a Dj, we had a slush puppy machine and we blagged loads of freebies. But, thats wasn't enough. Hope you find this funny or interesting

Story starts at MK snowdome, we bagged up 30 bags of snow yesterday night while they were doing the maintainence on the slope at night:

We borrowed some of thier stuff, we got a 3m long box to grind along which you can just see:

Then early this morning we loaded up all the snow and gear into a Transit and drove it up to Brum where we had already transported part of our 'rig' the previous day:

So here are the vids of us going for a ski in Birmingham on an October afternoon

Didn't take any pics of those on my phone.

We stored a lot of the snow and re-plenished when necessary. However, the only weather that could have ruined the day was rain and it rained a lot so the snow was melting, though we managed to do a few demo sessions which pulled in the crowds and got us lots of members

I don't think you understand the reasoning behind it I shall explain. First off it was a publicity stunt. Secondly on freshers fair the club usually gets around 80 members join up. The record ammount of members the club usually gets to join was 110 members in one day about 3 years ago. We want to win the prize of sports club of the year. And finally we got over 140 people to sign up to the club today as we drew such a large crowd. Each of those people paying £15 to join. Do the math then tell us it's a waste of time.

This is a club. It's run like a business, it's not like I can dip in a nick a few quid to buy a new car or something The money is used to put on events, we are doing stuff like hiring nightclubs and putting on ski and board competitions, plus we have a huge end of year trip. Any money left over stays in the club and is put towards buying more equipment and stuff to improve our facilities and club...

Well, seeing as the rig cost us a grand total of £0 to build as it was constructed from wood I found on my farm I wouldn't worry about it.
