Today was the 2nd longest i've driven in one day.
A 400 mile trip lasting 9 hours.
My 1st longest is 12 hours in a day.

Mine would be a drive from Liverpool to Billericay (Essex) which was around 3.5-4 hours one way...
Never did the return on the same day though...

once did SE London-manchester-SE London
took me 13hrs because of roadworks on the M1 and made the mistake of taking the blackwall tunnel

Oh and Reading to Loughbrough, to Northampton to Reading, then to Reading to Ipswich, then Ipswich to Southend then back to Reading, that was a fun Saturday afternoon

Not true mate.
Very easy going on long trips is the vx, cruises lovely at 70, and you return 35mpg+
Trouble is that I dont do motorways in it (shite rear visability) and i prefer A & B roads in it anyway.
My problem is driving more that 3 hours in ANY car. I get to the destination and im sooo fckued I want to go to sleep

Ah ok, my bad. Just assumed it'd be uncomfortable or something.
35mpg isnt bad either, I get upto 40mpg on motorways in the Ibiza.

longest i have done is Barnsley to Liverppol or Chester, i get bad neck ache though from it, same ache i get when shopping for ages.

I travel alot of miles in my job. can be 500miles round trip in a day. you get used to it after a while, its very boring.
so where did ya go from and too Tiger? to do 400miles?
