I purchased a laptop charger as my broke on Saturday 16th September, I reliesed it was the wrong part and tried to cancel the order 2 hours after I ordered it.
On Monday I get an email back saying I could not cancel it as it had been dispatched and I needed to refused the order. Now it comes on Tuesday 19th September along with 3 other packages from different companys from City Link. I did not know which one it was so accepted it.
Now I have not opened it and been very busy the last week and not had chance to send it back sent it back until today.
So I send it back, today with a copy of the emails about refusing the order, a letter explaining the above.
and now I get an email saying "We are unable to authorise this return. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions or contact Customer Services for further information. "
Now legally where do I stand.

I think you get 14 days to return things, especially if unopened.
There are people who know a lot more than me though.

The thing is I tried to cancel the order after a few hours on the Saturday I ordered the stuff.
On the monday I get an email at 12 0 saying sorry its been dispatched, dispite getting an invoice 2mins after I tried to cancel it on the Saturday.
So in my eyes I cancelled it on the Saturday.

there is a buy online law that entitles you to return for any reason within 14 dyas i think. As long as its unopened.
Doesnt matter what it says in T&C's statutory rights cannot be waivered

Yeah seven days just checked so personally I think i am fucked.
Dispite cancelling the order on the saturday.
Don't want to go mad on the phone unless I have some legal right as I hate the people that mouth off when its their fault which it is.
I know the distance selling act is 7 days after you get the goods so that should of been tuesday.

Yep they have to accept it back under the Distance Selling Regulations - contact them and find out how and where to return it and send it back. Even better if you paid by credit card - if the seller won't facilitate a return, get the credit card involved as well because they will be jointly liable.
