I reckon it should be around leicester/loughborough/nottingham sort of area. East Mids airport ain't too far off the M1, so could be a place to meet as there are plenty of hotels and that with decent sized car parks. Not been to notts/leicester much though, so not sure of any good meeting places...

service station straight off the m1 by east midlands, fairly big carpark
