I would haggle as its missing a dedicated shower and you've no choice but to listen to your appliances while you're in the living room. Otherwise lovely. Great outlook.

That might be my bosses actually. Looks really similar to the one he owns if it isnt that one.

Personally I wouldnt pay that much for somewhere so small and there is no garden for bbq parties

true, but in my opinion in some circumstances its worth the risky Lynny.

How long you've been together, have you lived together (for example at parent's house) for a short period etc, how did that work out?

been together 9 month, will be over a year by the time it gets sorted him moving up. because of the distance whenever we see eachother its not just for one night etc, its for 3-7 days constantly together so we are used to living out of each others pockets etc. just may be different in our own place

living together at someone elses house is totally different to living together on your own.

I think even though renting is dead money its def sensible to try it for six months to test the waters, imagine the money you'd loose (solicators fees, etc.) if you bought and it didnt work out 6 months down the line

Going by Manc prices thats not too bad per month (I knew Newcastle will prob be a little cheaper) but something like that would go for £850-950 a month easily.

of course it will be different. There will be times when you get utterly sick of each other whenever this happens to me I naff off down the pub or go to football.

More often than not what it comes down to is having your own mates who you can go out with and socialise without the other half. If you have then it shouldn't be a problem.

Thats alot of money just for rent.

If you were buying paying that much you would have a budget of about £130k..more if you choose interest only.

Best thing you can do (imo) is reserve a plot on a brand new build not even at groundwork stage, in 4 or 5 months it will be ready to move in (hopefully you'll be ready by then) & if it doesnt work out you can sell it after 6 months or whatever for huge profit!!!

Thats what i'd do....I know theres arguements pro renting but I would never do it!!

Dont buy together unless you've lived together first, i lived practically in Richies bedroom with him for 2 years so knew that getting the house was a good step

imo, you've not been together long enough to buy together, but renting is dead money and 6 months at £650 plus deposit say £4.5k which would be better going towards a house!

Could u not open a joint savings account and start saving now, then in a years time when you've been together long use the money u have saved for a place of your own
