Off to New York in January. Just wondering if anyones been to America and noticed what stuff is considerably cheaper than the UK? Looking to bring back a bit of stuff to sell on eBay to help pay for the holiday.
I've noticed ipods are a far bit cheaper, anything else that's quite a bit cheaper there?
Cheers guys. Oh and if anyone wants anything - let me know before Jan!

WEll, last year...
3 pairs of reebok trainers (Still not in this country).
6 pairs of shorty thick socks. Few t-shirts etc..
$98 Feckin you what!!!!
Things like food etc are still normal prices compared to the UK. Clothes are very cheap though, its great.
Then went and spent $400 odd in clothes in San Fran My suitcase alone weighed 8kg more on the way back (think how much t-shirts etc weigh).

When i went over the prices you pay in the shops arent much different that you can get stuff for over here if you do a search on the net, i found Ipods are generally only £20 or so cheaper, the same with a lot of electronics.
Clothes tend to be a bit more cheaper, you can get a lot of stuff tho that you cant get over here.

Not everything. Mainly clothes will be like that, but more every day thing (foods and such) wont be that cheap, cheaper yes but not that price, nor is any computer related stuff that cheap.

Food generally is a lot cheaper mainly because it is produced in the country unlike us where supermarkets prefer to buy cheaper goods from abroad.
Dont forget the USA has the equilivent climate to the whole of Europe within one country which means all kinds of food can be grown and transported very cheaply.

I went in March and this is exactly what I found...
Biggest difference in price is the clothes...I suggest going to the Abecrombie store...
