good opertunity for the engine to be purchased, but im sure it would prbably be cheaper just to buy one

yeah, i reckon you'd get a crate engine for less than that.

although you wouldnt have the loom, ecu, gearbox, diff, axle etc...

Yaaa, tho my knolledge is far from good on this particular subject, is this v8 not the one used in like a million other vehicles and picking one up in aus i.e on ebay a peice of piss? and for little money?

Or am i worng?

yeah, its used in pretty much every GM car in the USA, Australia and loads of other things too.

i'm sure you can get a new engine for about 2k.

YOU WOULD ALSO BE GETTING INTERIOR AND REAR LIGHTS LOOK OK (sorry caps lock ) sure quite a bit would be salvagable
